Our Origins

Ubin Seafood SinMing traces its roots back to Ubin Island. To this restaurant tucked on the north shore of the island.

In the 70s and 80s water-skiing site off the Kim Kim river mouth on the Johor side of the straits was very popular because of its calm waters.

(This was in the days when national boundaries were not so strictly enforced).

With island wide acquisition by the Singapore government in 1992, Ubin Seafood moved to the mainland Through the years we have been several locations. The most well known of which were the Commonwealth coffee shop, Keppel Marina, Punggol Marina and finally the coffee shop at the junction of 6th Avenue / Bukit Timah Road.

After Bukit Timah, we moved to Sin Ming to recapture the ambience of the time long gone. Where the focus was on the freshness of the food and the atmosphere was casual. Basically keep things simple and let our cooking do the talking!

Tracking down our current location for new patrons will prove a challenge as there is no adequate sign posting. However go to ‘Contact’ and you can download a map that will assist you in locating us.

For those equipped with a GPS locator, the postal code 575680 will make driving there easy.

Ubin Seafood Sin Ming serves up very fresh local seafood. It also does quality Chinese banqueting at a fraction of the cost of high-end restaurants.

Timeless Culinary Experience that is truly Singaporean

That is our motto. Just as our guest of the 70s and 80s have become more exposed in terms of their palate, Ubin Seafood has also evolved and now also offers dishes that are a fusion between our roots and the world.
